I’ve been spending the last few days in Sundsvall pretty much doing nothing except seeing my parents and a small selection of other relatives and friends. While my father’s been at work I’ve been sitting at his place, drinking coffee, making changes to the blog and looking out over the rooftops of downtown Sundsvall.
Today I ran into one of my oldest and dearest friends Klas, whom we will be having as a neighbor this autumn. We sat down by the canal for hours talking about random Sundsvalliana, old memories and people from our past. Good times, great times. I’ve said it before, once this was home, it’s not anymore and I’m glad. Still, it has been a nice visit.
Also, about the changes I’ve made to the blog, Glimpses either had to go or radically change, I chose the later option. It is now easier to integrate with Flickr, but just as important, the page should load a lot quicker than before. I’ve had problems getting it to work in both Mozilla and IE and to tell you the truth my hate for IE is only growing stronger by the day. Do yourself, and me, a favor and switch to Firefox or more preferably Flock.
Other than the obvious changes I’ve also cleaned up the style sheet and general code, removed a few features that I just can’t be bothered anymore like the Last Played tracks list. After 18 months I still haven’t got the slightest idea what I want to do with this blog, but at least I think I know what I don’t want to do with it.
Not that I think anyone really cares anyway, but if you read this far maybe you do?!
Å vad fin din blog blev i Flock! Tack för tipset
