I finally got my Macbook last week after a few months of thinking about pros and cons with switching from a life of Windows and, on and off, Linux. I’ve never used Macs at all, but after Hanna’s cousin, and my friend, Alex bought one last summer I’ve been tempted and finally decided to give it a try thinking that since Mac’s now come with Intel CPU’s I can use Windows on it if wouldn’t like OS X. Well, I do like OS X, I’m even loving it, and can’t see a single reason to go back to Windows. Since it is built on BSD I can even dust off some of my old Unix skills I haven’t used since I quit my old job 2 years ago, which I must admit is pretty God damn fun.
What I do need though is tips about good and preferably free music software for it since I can’t afford to buy any. Plug-ins, VST hosts, modular environments, everything is of interest. So please go ahead and leave useful comments..

Right now I have Ableton Live 4.0.4 and Peak. Tomorrow, or next week, he can get Reason and Cubase. How about them apples

Oh, and I’m really glad I switched, I just wish I had done it years ago. This is without a doubt the computer I’ve been most satisfied with, except maybe my first real PC but that was a whole other thing.
Have you listened to all the CD’s you bought in Sweden!? What did you think of Testbild?

Precis, jag kom att tänka på det bara här om dagen, att jag måste leta rätt på dig på MSN. Man använder förövrigt klienten Adium, även om andra alternativ finns. Lite likt Miranda men väldigt mycket bättre är mitt första intryck.
